Gut Health Nutritionist in San Diego

Make sense of bloating, food reactions, and unpredictable digestion without shrinking your diet indefinitely.

When Your Day Starts Revolving Around Your Stomach

Digestive symptoms can change how you dress, travel, work, exercise, and socialize. You may scan menus before agreeing to dinner, skip meals when you will be away from home, or remove more foods each time symptoms flare. Even when you are doing everything carefully, your digestion may still feel inconsistent.

As a gut health nutrition coach in San Diego, I help you organize the clues instead of reacting to every symptom in isolation. We look for patterns across meals, timing, stress, sleep, bowel habits, movement, and your health history so the plan is guided by your experience rather than a generic list of forbidden foods.

Food Is Information, but It Is Not the Only Variable

A food journal can reveal useful patterns, but symptoms can also be influenced by meal size, meal timing, eating speed, hydration, fiber changes, stress, sleep, movement, motility, medications, and medical conditions. We use food observations as one source of information, not proof that every symptom was caused by the last thing you ate.

This wider view can prevent unnecessary restriction. When a targeted elimination is appropriate, it should answer a specific question, protect nutrition adequacy, and include a thoughtful plan for reintroduction or expansion.

My Approach

There is no single protocol I apply to every client because there is no single root cause behind digestive symptoms.

I help you connect the dots across symptoms, history, labs when appropriate, diet, stress, lifestyle, and physiology to develop individualized recommendations that evolve as your body responds.

This may include strategic dietary changes, therapeutic nutrition support, nervous system support, lifestyle shifts, functional testing when appropriate, and targeted supplement guidance — always tailored to your needs, not a template.

Digestive Concerns We Can Work Together On

  • Bloating, pressure, or feeling unusually full after meals
  • Constipation, diarrhea, or bowel habits that alternate
  • Reflux, burping, nausea, or upper-digestive discomfort
  • Food reactions that are difficult to predict
  • A diet that has become increasingly limited
  • Fear of eating before travel, meetings, exercise, or social plans
  • Fatigue, brain fog, or low energy that seems connected to digestion
  • IBS or SIBO concerns being evaluated or managed with a healthcare provider

A Step-by-Step Gut Health Process

1

Build a clear symptom timeline

We review when symptoms began, how they behave, what has changed, previous testing or treatment, and what your healthcare providers have advised.
2

Identify the most useful patterns

We compare symptoms with meals, timing, bowel habits, stress, sleep, travel, cycle changes, and other relevant factors without jumping to a single cause.
3

Make targeted adjustments

Your plan may include meal structure, gradual fiber changes, hydration, eating pace, food experiments, digestion-supportive routines, or supplement guidance when appropriate.
4

Reassess and widen the diet when possible

We review your response and adjust. The long-term goal is not to keep removing food; it is to support comfort, adequacy, flexibility, and confidence.
